Netiquette
TBH’s netiquette sets the ground rules for conversations by letting users know what type of content is welcome across our different digital platforms.
TBH’s spaces are open to everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, ethnocultural background, age, or membership in a marginalized group. To be honest, everyone has a place here.
This netiquette is useful for both users and community managers; they ensure that conversations take place in a constructive environment and with respect for oneself and others. (The basics, really!)
TBH is present on social media to connect with its audience where they are and to create two-way conversations. You won’t be surprised to hear that we encourage conversations built on authenticity, transparency, respect, integrity, honesty, openness, inclusion, and kindness.
Monitoring hours
Unless otherwise stated, our team monitors messages and comments across the organization’s communication platforms during the following times:
Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: noon to 8 p.m.
Don’t worry if you don’t get a reply on the weekend or in the middle of the night — we’ll get back to you, promise.

Social media
Users who want to join the conversation on TBH’s social media platforms must follow these guidelines:
All content and comments posted must be directly related to TBH or its content. (We’re also big fans of Billie Eilish, but sadly, this isn’t the place to talk about her.)
Use respectful, non-offensive language.
Content must not harm an individual’s reputation or target a person, group, or organization.
No form of discrimination will be tolerated.
As our elementary school teacher used to say on the playground: “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” Good call, Manon!
You must be respectful towards other users and the TBH team.
Similarly, comments that violate the principles of respectful online conversations may be removed. Basically, let’s keep it kind.
TBH reserves the right to remove comments containing hyperlinks leading to websites whose authenticity or credibility cannot be verified. In other words: seems sketchy? Skip it.
It is prohibited to publish content that could be offensive or that could expose an individual or group to hatred or contempt based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs, ethnocultural background, age, or membership in a marginalized group. (Remember your elementary school teacher.)
Content or comments may be removed if they include any of the following:
illegal material (e.g., content that violates a court order)
hate speech
threats or harassment
personal attacks, insults, or defamatory content
encouragement to commit a criminal act;content or arguments promoting beliefs that are not based on a rigorous, nuanced, and scientific approach (i.e., misinformation).
All content must respect privacy and must not include personal information (e.g., phone numbers or email addresses) or private conversations. What happens between two private ears should stay between those private ears.
All content must be personal in nature, not commercial. Promotional content and press releases are not acceptable. TBH is a yes. The Space-Punk-Rock Horseback Riding Club of Repentigny? Also a yes… just not here.
TBH reserves the right to remove any post or comment deemed inappropriate. It breaks the netiquette? Into the trash it goes.
Anyone who violates the netiquette may have their content removed and their account suspended or blocked. TBH reserves the right, at any time, not to open a discussion on a specific topic, to close a discussion without notice, or to refuse to publish any content.
